Chris Reyna is a Houston-born, Austin-claimed bassist who practically grew up inside music. His dad was a musician, which meant the family living room was permanently stocked with a drum set, amps, and a PA. He started on drums as a kid, migrated to guitar in his teenage years, and eventually found his home on bass.

He came to Austin in 1994 with a band called Mudshow, chasing the scene, and the city never let him go. That era turned into a run with local 90s favorite 7 Stones, fronted by the beloved Ray Prim, touring 26 states across the country.

More recently, Chris spent five years holding down the low end for Traces Left before the band relocated to North Carolina. These days, he’s found his place as a writer, bassist, singer, and brother in the family that is the Rik Avalos Band.
